This is because such persons may interpret it in the most appropriate way, unlike one who is jealous or ignorant. “ Do not narrate your good dreams to anyone except a knowledgeable person or someone who may give you good advice.” (Reported by Jaami, al-Tirmidhi, no. 6584)Īnd it was also reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that: ―The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “ If anyone of you sees a dream that he likes, then it is from Allah, and he should thank Allah for it and tell it to others.” (Reported by Saheeh al-Bukhaari, no. The evidence for this is the report of Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): ―The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: He should not inform someone who may become jealous of him. He should not tell anyone about it except someone who may give him good advice, or someone who is wise, or someone he loves. He may interpret it himself or discuss it with a knowledgeable person who may interpret it for him. When a prostitute from the prostitutes of Bani Israel saw him and she took off her leather sock and gave him water to drink, so she was forgiven due to that action.If a Muslim sees a good dream, it is recommended for him to do the following: He should praise and thank Allah (may He be Glorified). ‘There was a dog walking around a well and he was dying of thirst ‘For every living thing there is a reward.’
The Companions asked ‘O Messenger of Allaah do we get a reward for animals?’ Allaah thanked him for it and forgave him for it.’ ‘A man was walking on his way when he became extremely thirsty, so he climbed down a well and drank from it when he climbed out he saw a dog eating the dry dirt out of extreme thirst, he said to himself ‘Indeed what has affected this dog was the like of what had affected me.’ So he filled his leather sock with water and gripped it in his teeth and climbed out and gave the dog water to drink. ‘Whoever dug a well for water and no living being from Jinn or human or a bird drinks from it except that Allaah will reward him for it on the Day of Judgement.’ĥ – A Means for Forgiveness for Providing Waterįrom Abu Hurairah from the Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam: ‘There is no charity which has a greater reward than providing Water.’Ĥ – A Reward for Whoever Drinks from the Waterįrom Jabir -Radhi Allaahu anhu-that the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said: ” من حفر ماء لم تشرب منه كبد حري من جن و لا إنس و لا طائر إلا آجره الله يوم القيامة “ So Saad dug a well and said ‘this is for Umm Saad.’ģ- The Charity which has the Greatest Rewardįrom Abu Hurairah -Radhi Allaahu anhu- from the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam: ليس صدقة أعظم أجرا من ماء
Saad bin Ubaadah said ‘O Messenger of Allaah indeed my mother has died which is the best charity?’ ‘The best charity is to give water to drink.’Ģ – Providing Water as Charity for Ones Deceased Parentsįrom Anas bin Malik -Radhi Allaahu anhu- that Saad came to the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- and asked: O Messenger of Allaah indeed my mother passed away and she did not bequeath anything, would it benefit her if I gave charity on her behalf?
